Dr. Karavasili graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.TH.), where she earned her M.Pharm and PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology. She began her postdoctoral research at A.U.TH. in 2019, later joining the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a postdoctoral researcher from 2021 to 2024. She is a recipient of doctoral research scholarships from the Fulbright foundation (Harvard medical School, MIT) and the Onassis foundation (A.U.TH.). She recently joined the School of Pharmacy (A.U.TH.) as Assistant Professor at the division of Pharmaceutical Technology.

Zisis got his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2023, and he also got his professional license in 2024 while working for two years as a research associate at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in AUTH, focusing on projects on different techniques, like 3D Printing and Electrospinning. As a current PhD student in Pharmaceutical Technology at AUTH, he is working on the development of functional biomaterials for tissue repair in neurosurgery. He loves arts, movies, and sports.

Christina got her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly in 2023. During her bachelor thesis, she studied the encapsulation of plant-derived active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in polymers, which sparked her ongoing interest in pharmaceutical technology. Currently, as a master’s student in the Industrial Pharmacy program at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she is focusing on the encapsulation of APIs in polymers, specifically for applications related to neonates and infants.

Marina got her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2022. She specialized in cosmetic chemistry and nanotechnology through both industrial and academic experience, which sparked a strong interest in the delivery of active ingredients and bioactive compounds to the human body. This interest led to her enrollment in the Industrial Pharmacy master’s program and especially the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in AUTH. Currently, she is engaged in research focused on intravesical drug delivery systems.
